The Mammen dairy
cooperative is founded
1953
The beginning of the Mammen story. Production of milk, butter and cheese starts
1978
Mammen Dairy plant aquired and yellow cheese production centralised
1982
Lars and Niels Staunsbæk join the company. 2nd generation takes over from their father
1993
The production of Blue cheese - Danablu begins
2004
The first retail products are sold in the Danish market
2007-8
The production of Blue cheese is further expanded The production of white cheese and combi starts
2010
The journey towards developing our own export sales organisation starts with the aquisition of Kirkeby Food Int.
2012
The export company Mammen Cheese is born
2014
Acquisition of the cooperative Saedager Dairy leads to further expansion of white cheese and combi production
2017
Peter Staunsbæk, son of Lars Staunsbæk, joins the company
2017
The new build Mammen dairy site replaces the old plant and capacity increases with 100%
2021
The production of cottage cheese is upscaled. Fermented dairy production is initiated
2021
The production of cottage cheese is upscaled. Fermented dairy production is initiated
