The Mammen Dairy was established as a Dairy Cooperative in 1911. It functioned as such until 1978, when it was sold to the dairy owner P.J. Staunsbæk, Ulstrupbro Dairy. After this, the Ulstrupbro Dairy moved its production to the Mammen Dairy and the company was thereby incorporated into Mammen. In 1983, Mammen Mejeri A/S was established as a part of a generation change, when the sons Niels H. Staunsbæk and Lars Staunsbæk became joint owners.

In 1990 the company expanded with Skytsbjerg Dairy, which produced blue cheese until 2003. Today the cheese is produced at Drøsbro Dairy, which was taken over in 2004.
The Mammen Dairy is owned by Lars and Niels H. Staunsbæk, who are second generation owners of the comany.
